Radio

I’ve written radio for burritos, travel mugs, and sentient alarm clocks β€” and even had my words read live on-air by Howard Stern. From β€˜80s action toy jingles to rap anthems (yes, I performed them in client meetings), these spots span formats, brands, and tones β€” but always land with a clear voice and a strong sell.

Here are a few of my favorites:

The Travel Mug Song (7-Eleven)
Radio Mercury Award Finalist
A rap anthem for a plastic mug. Yes, I wrote it. Yes, I rapped it for clients. No, I cannot rap.

Burrito Rollers (7-Eleven)
An β€˜80s toy commercial spoof β€” but for hot food.
Silver Dallas ADDY Award, Radio – Regional / National

Quest for Refreshment (7-Eleven)
My first produced spot β€” and still a favorite. A fantasy adventure packed with more mandatory product callouts than any brief should ever have.

Independent Lemming (7-Eleven)
The best 7-Eleven spot he'd ever worked on according to one longtime account exec. Existential? Maybe. Memorable? Definitely.

Alarm Clock (7-Eleven)
A tired man. A sentient alarm clock. A cry for quality coffee at a great price.
Bronze Dallas ADDY Award, Radio – Regional / National

The One (Texas Lottery)
Sweet, simple, and a little β€œaww-shucks.” Probably the softest sell in lottery history.

Howard Stern Live Read (7-Eleven)
Howard Stern read my copy live on-air.
Does that make me a former Stern staff writer? (Let’s say yes.)
